The village has a Post Office and general stores located on Nantwich Road near to the village green.

Wrenbury Medical Centre is situated on Nantwich Road in front of the Recreation Ground.  The Centre is a modern facility with the doctor’s surgery and dispensary where physiotherapy and podiatry services are provided in addition to general medical care.

Patients can park on the Recreation Ground car park to the rear.

Wrenbury Primary School occupies a Grade II listed building dating from 1879.    The school won the “Champion School” category of the “Your Champions” Awards 2007, sponsored by Scottish Power and Trinity Mirror.    The Wrenbury Pre-School and Out of School Club is located adjacent to the school in School House.

Sports facilities at the Recreation Ground include a pavilion, bowling green, tennis courts, multi use games area and football pitches.    The Wingate Centre, just outside the village, is a registered charity whose prime objective is to work with people of all ages with disabilities and has a ‘GymMark’-accredited gymnasium.

The village has two public houses. The Cotton Arms, named after the Cotton family, is on Cholmondeley Road near the canal. The Dusty Miller occupies a 19th-century corn mill by the canal at Wrenbury Bridge. Facilities for tourists include a caravan site near the canal and the Alvechurch Boat Centre, a boat hire company, which operates from Wrenbury Mill, beside Wrenbury Bridge.

Wrenbury is a request stop on the Crewe – Shrewsbury railway line and is known for its annual scarecrow trail, which started in 2000 and is held on the first weekend in July as part of a Summer Fair.
